A very Happy New Year greeting to all! We rang in the New Year in the streets of Chaupimolino. It really was a fun and very cultural event as two folklore groups presented themselves mixed among testimonies of new believers freed from the bondage of sin by the power of the Gospel. Another Ecuadorian tradition we enjoyed was the burning of the “old year” represented by burning a dummy made with old clothes and filled with newspaper and fireworks. At midnight the “old year” is burned leaving those memories behind. Many people from the community stopped to share the event which was a great encouragement to us.  We trust in the year 2008 we will see many of them come to know our Savior personally.
