Dear Praying Friends,

 

Scripture Use is a big concern as the Word of God is translated into the

heart language of people. They've lived for generations without the

Scriptures, and without reading. A variety of means are employed to encourage

reading, and especially the reading of Scripture. Please PRAY for the people

of Bambam, Una, and Seko to have a passion for the Word of God.

 

Pray for each of the Conroys also to have a passion for the Word of God.

 

Praise God for the good training that Dennis received on the updated version

of the mapping program he uses. PRAY for him as he puts together a map of

various projects. This map will be given to the government to help to

communicate with them the work of SIL.

 

Pray for Dennis as he again has the extra hat of being the 'in charge' at

the office for three weeks. This bring some interesting twists into life.

 

Pray for Hannah and the family as Hannah departs on July 25th. Pray for

special times together before she leaves. Rhonda will travel with Hannah.

They will get some things (like winter clothes) for college before heading

to CIU (Columbia International University in SC). Pray us through all these

changes. Rhonda will be gone for a month. Pray for Dennis and the three kids

at home. School starts for them while Rhonda is away.

Dear Praying Friends,



Praise the Lord for a profitable village visit for our translator friends Tom & Kathy. They were able to check several New Testament books for understandability. Several in the area are excited for this translation to happen. Pray that all involved in this process will continue to struggle onwards with the strength that the Lord provides.



Pray for Dennis as he typesets Bauzi Mark for another language. Pray that the translators for this people group will 'keep on keeping on'. Pray for God's Word to get into the hands and lives of this people group.



Pray for the typesetting of the ethnologue booklet . He is waiting for some files to be sent that are needed for this to continue. Pray for a timely completion for this project. Our director would like to use it for a presentation that he has in the near future.



School starts in two weeks (August 2nd). Pray for Rhonda and the kids as they complete some summer projects and gear up for the next school year. Rhonda will be teaching 10th grade Biology and really needs your prayers as she plans for this and then teaches throughout the year. She also hopes to continue doing some NILD (National Institute for Learning Disabilities) therapy.



Thanks for praying for Rhonda's ear. The problem has greatly subsided since you started praying. Praise the Lord! and pray that the last little bit will clear. Thanks. Keep praying for Hannah's hands and feet. . .



For Hannah, pray for her senior year of high school to be one of service to the Lord and the student body. Pray that the Lord will give her friends, as she has said good-bye to several friends who will not be returning.

For Daniel, pray for his freshman year of high school that he will be godly and wise in all he does. Pray for his adjustment to high school, and that he will continue to deepen his relationship with the Lord.

For Elizabeth, pray for her 7th grade year. Academics continue to be a struggle. Pray for those, and also for godly friends. Several of her friends from last year will not be at her school this year.

For Abigail, pray for her 5th grade year. Pray that she will love Jesus and shine for Him both in the classroom and also on the playground.



Pray that the Lord will work to increase our support account to the balance MTW recommends (requires?). Currently there is a double your money opportunity for new monthly and one time gifts.

Praise the Lord for a good school year just finished.

Praise God for those who give financially. Pray for some new folks to give to take the place of others who have needed to redirect their finances.

Dear Praying Friends,

Praise the Lord for the opportunity for Dennis to attend the Publishing Technical Consultation in Dallas, TX. He learned about new programs, connected with others in the same field, and expanded his vision for where publishing in the Wycliffe world is heading.

Pray that Dennis will know when and where to take the class for learning the new publishing software.

Praise the Lord that Dennis was able to visit four supporting churches during his time in the US. Each of these visits were great! Thanks to each of you who coordinated these.

Praise the Lord for being with Rhonda and the kids while Dennis was away. We were fine, but are very thankful for his return!

Pray for the school board meeting that Dennis will attend this week. Pray for wisdom and unity in decisions.

Pray for Rhonda as she prepares for a class (homework. . . reading several books/writing a paper) she will attend in Manila during the first two weeks of May. This class is NILD level II. Not only does is take her to the next level of training with NILD, it also meets part of the requirement for ongoing credits to keep her teaching certificate current. :)

Pray for the kids to finish the school year well. May 25th is the last day of school. There are several big projects between now and then. Pray for godly character to continue to develop both at school and at home.

Hannah's hands and feet are improving slightly. . . continue to pray for healing, and for wisdom for Hannah as she adjusts her level of activity. (not too much too soon, but doing more and more at a good pace)
